Kuroiwa’s Ground Gecko
One of the animals living on the earth has also come to the endangered species list and that is Kuroiwa’s Ground Gecko which is fighting the battle of its survival. This is a type of lizard that is found in different islands of Japan and depending on the islands they live on determines their color, size, crust, etc. The Kuroiwa’s Ground Gecko was included in the endangered species list taking into account it is rapidly vanishing from the islands of Japan. There are different reasons that are playing their roles in them getting out of the earth. There are global efforts underway taking such species into account.

While talking about the Kuroiwa’s Ground Gecko, this reptile has the characteristics same as that of a lizard but does possess some varying characteristics. Some of the reasons why the number of these animals is decreasing include the human lust to clear the jungles and the inhabitants of such animals. Moreover, these are encountering consistent attacks by the human beings. As the population of the country is spreading and more and more need for the clear land is popping out, these species are getting more endangered as to their existence.
As to the foods taken in by the Kuroiwa’s Ground Gecko, there are insects and worms attacked by them. They eat spiders as well. This is what nothing getting them attacked for. The average size of any Kuroiwa’s Ground Gecko can be observed to be between 14 to 19 centimeters. They are quite different from other geckos in respect of their living on the earth as they do not have conventional toes to climb up a tree. It implies that they are unable to reach the top of any tree thus letting them have their enjoyment on the earth roaming here and there on the islands.
The Amami islands are the sole places where you can find the Kuroiwa’s Ground Geckos within the Tokunoshima and the Okinawa islands. There is no place on the earth where you can find these species. This is the sole reason why they are being given priority now so that they do not lose the existence.
